Maximize your outdoor space with Trex RainEscape Under-Decking system. Smallwood Renovations installs the system underneath of the decking boards, with a seamless ceiling underneath. Ultimately, Rain-Escape is the perfect solution to turn spaces under multi-tiered decks or balconies into finished outdoor living areas.

What It Is

The Trex RainEscape system guides water on your deck into gutters and away from your outdoor living area. This is done with tough rugged plastic, with ultraviolet inhibitors for a long term solution.

RainEscape troughs sit directly on the deck’s substructure, guiding water into the hard plastic downspouts. Best of all, the low maintenance system is added during construction of the deck. No time, or money wasted.

Trex caulk invisibly seals under flashing and along the beams and joist. The troughs and downspouts are covered with tape to waterproof and uniformly protect the structure.

Finally, rain and melting snow run between the deck boards into the RainEscape system and are diverted away into a gutter.

How It Works

1.

We lay the Trex RainEscape system over the wooden substructure of your deck. The tough rugged plastic forms a series of gutters and troughs to divert water away, while protecting the substructure entirely.

2.

Decking boards are laid overtop of the RainEscape system, completely concealing the under-decking.

3.

Underneath, the watertight substructure can now host electricity and finished materials like ceiling boards.

4.

The finished RainEscape project is waterproof, and protected from the sun. Easily make the area below a screen porch, or add lights to the ceiling for a sophisticated glow.
